At our guest house, you will be amazed at how much space and comfort traditi0nal riads offer. When you stay with us, you will have plenty of privacy as you relax on your own floor. Each floor consists of 2 bedrooms, a traditional living room (salon), full-scale kitchen and bathroom / shower. Also provided in the house is a washing machine for that mid-trip cleansing of the garments (excellent for those visiting Meknes after the trek to the desert). Our house is designed for the travelers who are passing through for the night or for those planning on staying for extended visits.
At our cooking school, we firmly believe that the best way to learn a new dish is to practice making it with your own hands, not just listening to a set of instructions. We pride ourselves on giving you the opportunity to step up to your own personal cooking station to prepare your dishes. Not only will you produce an amazing meal, but you will also learn about the richenss of the Moroccan culture as well as the history and tradition behind each dish. Whatever your cooking knowledge is, our classes remain small so that you can receive as much individual attention as you desire.
For every dish you prepare, you will learn about each of the ingredients as well as some of the unique spices found only in Morocco. In order to provide you with the most succulent of meals, we hand-pick all of our produce and meat from the local market. This ensures that you will enjoy the freshest of feasts. This memorable opportunity promises both a culinary and cultural experience for all who partake.
The guest house and cooking classes can either be separate entities or can be combined to create a complete travel package.
The owner and founder of "Savor Morocco", Chris Padgett, has over 15 years of food- & customer-service experience. From management in restaurants to starting and operating his own catering business to serving as a personal chef, he knows what it takes to create the perfect event. "Seeing people experience something for the first time is always extremely rewarding. I believe that when someone first steps up to their cooking station a little hesitant, then leaves the school completely satisfied and confident with what they have prepared; that's a ‘good day's work' to me."
